Hand in Hand

$75.00

By Celeste Elena Umana

Youth Advisory Council Collection

Here, my sister and I were visiting Our Mother of Sorrow’s Church in my hometown of Santa Barbara. Growing up my faith was something always in the background, something that always just seemed to be in my family. It’s shot in black and white to put emphasis on the youthfulness of my sister’s hand and ensure that although the cross on the background is slightly out of focus, it’s still easily distinguishable. It’s a photo that represents the relationship between my youth and how it affected my connection to my religion.
