Marketing Communications Intern through the Bloomberg Arts Program
Position Description
The Marketing Communications Intern will work alongside Las Fotos Project’s Communications team to help amplify the organization’s digital impact. Through strategic digital marketing efforts, the intern will support and strengthen quarterly campaigns by creating short-form content, conducting research, and contributing to collaborative creative initiatives.
In addition to supporting digital campaigns, the Marketing Intern will help maintain and uphold the organization’s brand across verbal, visual, digital, and written communications.
The ideal candidate is a young creative who is well-versed in digital media trends and platforms, with a strong interest in digital design and storytelling. You’ll be tapping into your brainrot and creative personality to brainstorm, create, and schedule engaging interactive content.
Hourly commitment & Location:
The LA County Bloomberg Arts Internship (BAI) is an eight-week paid summer internship for rising public high school seniors at arts and cultural organizations, in addition to professional development, college preparation support, dedicated mentorship, and cultural excursions.
The eight-week paid summer internship takes place June 15 - August 7, 2026.
Interns will work in person three days per week. Interns must complete 120 hours of paid work at the internship, approximately 15 hours per week. Interns are paid $27.81 per hour.
Interns must complete two Program Days per week at their designated Regional Hub. Program Days include college preparation workshops, fun activities, mentorship, resume building and other essential skills, and weekly trips to arts and cultural organizations. Transportation support and lunch will
be provided. Interns will be paid a stipend for participating in at least 90% of the program.
This internship is supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies in partnership with the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture, as part of the Los Angeles County Bloomberg Arts Internship Program.
Desired Qualifications
Interest in a Communications, Marketing or Public Relations degree / career.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledgeable in TikTok / Instagram / Canva / Graphic Design Basics
Interest or basic knowledge of Adobe Platforms: Photoshop and Premiere Pro
An creative person with a passion for social justice and photography
Must Haves
You must be a rising senior at an LA County Public High School
Ability to pass TB Test and receive a LiveScan Clearance
Development Communications Intern through the Bloomberg Arts Program

The Development Communications Intern will work with our Communications team and Executive Director to help strengthen our development reach in relation to digital fundraising. This role will consist of traditional and outside the box development strategies such as: writing and mailing thank you notes, updating contact lists, creating personalized invitations, crafting mass emails with brand enforcement, and collecting data. The Development Intern will get the chance to utilize digital development and design platforms.

Las Fotos Project Photography mentors (un-paid volunteer position)
Position Description
NOTE: This is an un-paid, volunteer position. Las Fotos Project mentors are adults within or adjacent to the visual arts industry ranging from avid photo hobbyists to practicing professional photographers whose backgrounds range from education and photojournalism to fine arts and editorial photography, and everything in between. They are adults who have a passion for connecting with emerging creatives and working collaboratively with a network of peers in the areas of professional development, community building, and skill sharing. Las Fotos Project Mentors have an interest in creating safe spaces for creative growth and supplemental learning specifically focusing on self, community, and career through the medium of photography. They commit to a semester of mentoring, which includes weekly class collaboration, rapport building, and professional learning. Mentors supplement TA facilitation in weekly class sessions and dedicate time to ensuring student and class wellbeing and meet periodically to reflect and assess progress. They participate in pre and post semester professional development and are contributing members of a mentor network.
Hourly commitment & Location:
Average 3.5 hours per week
This is an in-person volunteer opportunity at our Boyle Heights gallery space.
Desired Qualifications
3+ years of work or volunteer experience
Current or former practicing professional in the visual arts industry or adjacent field
1 + years of experience working with teenage youth highly desired
Consistent weekly availability of approximately 3.5 hours (2.5 in class, 1 outside of class)
Digital file management experience (image uploading and storage, document sharing)
Adobe Suite experience (Lightroom, Photoshop, Express)
Personal philosophy aligned with LFP’s mission and vision
Ability to pass TB Test and receive LiveScan clearance
