In March of 2011, Las Fotos Project partnered with the Teen Program at the YWCA in San Pedro, California. The Teen Program at the YWCA Harbor City runs a mentoring program from local high schools, between the ages of 12-18 years old. Volunteers from Las Fotos Project taught the girls the fundamentals of photography, including artistic composition of their shots and the mechanical aspects of the cameras themselves. The girls created images to showcase their individual visions of their own neighborhood.
