Las Fotos PRoject

Saturday, May 17, 2025 501 N Main St La Plaza de Cultura y Artes Los Angeles, 90012

We’re throwing the Ultimate Quince, and You’re Invited!

A Quinceañera isn’t just a party—it’s a cultural rite of passage, a celebration of growth, community, and the future. In 2025, Las Fotos Project is hitting its own milestone, marking 15 years of empowering over 2,000 young artists to find their voice through photography. This year, we’re honoring the youth in all of us and the journey of Las Fotos Project itself—reflecting its evolution in leadership, vision, and style. Expect bold vibes, iconic moments, and a night to remember.

Our
Story

We are Las Fotos Project, a youth-first organization that empowers its members through the lens of photography. We are -

For everyone.

But most importantly for us.

For the neighborhoods that raise us,
For the cultures that shape us,
For the dreams that give us hope,
For our truths,
For our memories,
For our healing,
For our tomorrow.

Developing voices and sharing stories that last longer than a picture.

“I will always have a place in my heart for Las Fotos Project because they showed me to go after what I want and be confident. Every time I push myself out of my comfort zone in the future, I will thank LFP for helping me find that courage and confidence.”

— STUDENT

“I’ve developed my drive to keep doing better and just keep taking risks. From jumping from career to career to changing majors, talking to different people and networking with different people. That drive to keep exploring my options as a creative is something that like I've developed with Las Fotos [Project].”

The Honorees

Hilda Solis

Supervisor Hilda L. Solis represents the First supervisorial district of Los Angeles County which is home to nearly two million people. Supervisor Hilda Solis has been a staunch advocate for arts in Los Angeles and passionate leader for the city. It is because of her continued advocacy that many organizations like LFP have continued to thrive. We honor Supervisory Solis for the love, compassion and passion she has shown our community.

Brittany Bravo

Los Angeles-based artist Brittany Bravo draws deeply from her Mexican and Costa Rican roots, infusing her work with themes of love, family, and culture that come to life through her vibrant and surrealist imagery. She often explores the deep bonds between mothers and daughters, creating symbolic works that celebrate these relationships. One of her standout pieces, "Intergenerational Joy," features four generations of women, showcasing love and strength across generations. Brittany’s work has been commissioned by brands like Sephora, Target and Rare Beauty, where she continues to center family, joy, and her roots.

In Memoriam

Laura Aguilar

Laura Aguilar was an American photographer (1959-2018). Laura Aguilar spent most of her prolific career examining her identity as a Chicana lesbian artist. Aguilar was born in San Gabriel, California in 1959 and grew up in the San Gabriel valley. After studying photography at East Los Angeles College, her photographic production was characterized by portraits of diverse communities in the Los Angeles area and self-portraits, which are representations of herself as a complex individual, Chicana, lesbian and struggling with poverty, learning disabilities and depression. Ahead of her time, Aguilar’s photographs first expose the visibility of these underrepresented and marginalized women, then celebrate them.

Come through, celebrate with us, and let’s make this a Quince for the Fotos y Recuerdos.

Become a Sponsor

In a traditional Quincenera celebration, family and friends are chosen to become “Madrinas” or “Padrinos” - God Parents - of the celebrant. They symbolize support and mentorship, reflecting the importance of community and family in this special rite of passage. We invite you to be a part of this new era and be a Madrina/Padrino to the next generation of young creatives.

Student Showcase

These featured portraits embody the countless students who have picked up a camera in our classroom. Each one a testament to the beauty, strength, dreams, and creativity that define them. Through these images, we see not just faces, but stories—stories reflected in their own self-portraits, the poise of their friends, and in the vibrant colors of the world around them. This is the essence of Las Fotos Project: a celebration of who they are and the boundless potential they carry.
