Angel city fc artists in residence

Residency details

Artists in Residence Program:

Established in 2022, the Artists in Residence Program is a collaboration between Las Fotos Project (LFP) and Angel City Football Club (ACFC) that provides paid, hands-on experience in sports photography to teenage girls and gender-expansive youth of color.

The program centers creativity, mentorship, and workforce development through:

  • Real-World Training: Participants photograph ACFC matches and events, gaining real experience in live sports environments.

  • Mentorship & Industry Access: Youth work alongside professional photographers and creative staff to develop technical skills and build confidence.

  • Portfolio Development: Participants strengthen their storytelling abilities and build a professional body of work to support future job opportunities.

  • Equity in Action: With only 30% of photographers identifying as women or non-binary, the program helps close the gender gap and amplify underrepresented voices in the industry.
